Job Purpose / Overview
Working as key aspect of an Integrated Project Controls (Estimating and Change) team, our team aims to act as a centre of excellence for project controls implementation. We are the intelligent owners of the single source of delivery performance information, operating as an integrated enabler for the successful delivery of the HPC project.
Estimator required to work as part of a matrix organisation supporting one of the following programmes/areas within the project: Central, Site, Engineering, MEH, Nuclear Island (NI), Conventional Island and Balance of Plant, Instrumentation and Controls, and Commissioning.
The role of Estimator is to work within the Estimating and Change team across the parts of HPC project following the Estimating and Change strategy uniformly across the project. They will work with other members of the Estimating and Change team supporting the implementation of Estimating and Change specific processes and framework. They will follow all governance arrangements for Integrated Project Controls providing effective reporting of Estimating and Change information in a timely and accurate manner.
Principal Accountabilities
Team:
- Produce and maintain accurate Estimating and Change forecasts and Estimating data in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure or Work Breakdown Structure (CBS/WBS)
- Accurately maintain all Estimating data for their area of responsibility within the Estimating software system e.g. P6, ARM etc.
- Co-ordinate and produce Estimating reports to a defined reporting cycle, including commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues
- Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis at Project level, generating performance indicators and providing feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
- Delivers clear and concise insights to support robust decision-making utilising commercial and technical information to influence decisions.
- Analytical support for Senior Estimators and Lead Estimators through robust analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data to facilitate prioritisation and any necessary actions.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues within and across organisational boundaries to achieve mutually successful outcomes in keeping with the HPC project values of _Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity and Clarity_ and culture of _Trust, Transparency and Teamwork_
- Applying fundamental project and business project controls principles and interfaces with wider management processes.
- Help promote and embed a culture of good governance, risk awareness and compliance across the organisation. Support the education of project controls reporting functionality and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering, or another related field
- Proven experience of Estimating and Change include the tools and a variety of techniques used to delivery project insight and assess performance
