Job Description
Job Title: EstimatorLocation: Borehamwood, UKSalary: £60,000 - £80,000
Role Overview:
We are looking for experienced Estimators to join our team and support the pre-construction phase of projects. Your main responsibility will be to provide accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are financially viable and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse bid specifications, drawings, and project documents.
Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to determine materials, labour, and equipment needed.
Prepare estimates from first principles.
Collaborate with subcontractors to get competitive pricing.
Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Attend site visits to gather additional information for bids.Skills and Experience:
Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
Strong background in estimating Power/Electricals/Renewable/Civils projects.
Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC contracts.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex project specifications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
UK driving licence required.Company Background:
