Estimator - up to £65K depending on experience - Maidenhead
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Estimator to join their team working for a growing fit out sub-contractor based in Berkshire.
As an Estimator you will play a crucial role in assessing project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are accurately calculated and controlled.

Our client is a fast growing interior fit out contractor operating in London and the Home Counties.since 2005. They have grown year on year in turnover attracting repeat business and new clients alike with a firm client base working for many well-known main contractors in the commercial fit-out sector.
Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
* Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
* Conduct thorough market research to determine material and labour costs, ensuring competitive pricing.
* Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to maintain financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
* Review and evaluate subcontractor bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, adjustments, and changes throughout the project duration.
* Building relationships and communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding estimates and project requirements.
* Participate in pre-construction handover meetings and post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement in estimating processes.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an Estimator in a similar role within the commercial fit out sector/ glass partitions / doors / drywall / suspended ceilings will all be considered.
* Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) with the ability to interpret specifications and measure drawings.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous but not essentialBefore You Apply
