Estimator – Construction
Location: London
Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £85,000 + benefits
About the Role:
Ridgeway & Co are working in partnership with a respected main contractor operating across London and the South East, who are currently looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a company known for delivering high-quality commercial and residential new build and refurbishment schemes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial understanding, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of construction projects
*
Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documents
*
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing
*
Attend site visits and contribute to tender meetings
*
Support value engineering and commercial strategy discussions
*
Maintain a database of historical cost data and supplier pricing
Requirements:
*
3+ years of estimating experience within the UK construction sector
*
Demonstrable experience across new build and refurbishment projects
*
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and current market rates
*
Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office
*
Organised, commercially astute, and an excellent communicator
