Fabricator – Permanent Role
Location: Bolton
Salary: £17.30 per hour (50p less during probation)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Thursday
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Fabricator to join their Operations team in Bolton. The role involves the fabrication, welding, and assembly of steel doors and associated components, ensuring compliance with required standards and inspection criteria.
Fabricator Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble doors and parts in carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
* Perform coded welding, as well as grinding, polishing, drilling, and hardware fitting
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding requirements
* Use overhead cranes and FLT equipment (training provided where necessary)
* Ensure work complies with NDT, UT, MPI, and visual inspection standards
* Assemble and install door hardware as required
* Maintain high standards of health and safety
* Contribute to the fabrication of engineered doors to company specifications
* Support continuous development, including new fabrication technologies
* Meet production targets for quality, time, and delivery
* Carry out additional tasks as required within the scope of the role
Fabricator Essential Requirements
* Formal training in fabrication/welding
* Certified for overhead crane use
* Own transport required
* Ability to work to tight tolerances
* Effective communication skills and ability to manage detailed technical information
Fabricator Desirable Requirements
* Knowledge of mechanised welding processes
