Job Description

Facilities Services Manager (107jc) – Newcastle upon Tyne – Up to £38k + Benefits This client who is one of the city’s oldest and leading institute of learning covering the education needs from Year 3 all the way to Year 13 (Sixth Form) and are now seeking to recruit a Facilities Services Manager to join their team. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY. This role offers the chance to contribute to operational excellence, ensuring smooth day-to-day management while fostering collaboration across the entire school community. Whether your background is in facilities management, property, or a related field, we’re looking for someone who brings passion, leadership, and a strong focus on service delivery. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Facilities and Estate and who is also an Army Veteran himself. Your Key Responsibilities will include: * Oversee the daily operation and management of the school’s facilities and estates. * Develop and implement systems and procedures to maintain the highest operational standards. * Promote collaborative working relationships across all teams to support professional development. * Provide strategic oversight for premises and facilities management throughout the school. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A management qualification. * Proven experience in driving operational improvements and achieving results. * Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams to perform at their best. * Excellent communication skills, capable of confidently presenting both written and verbal information to a range of stakeholders. * The ability to achieve and maintain an enhanced DBS check as you will be working in proximity to children and young people. The ideal candidate would probably a SNCO who has an RQMS background and who is able to manage a team of about 30 personnel, who consist of Caretakers, maintenance staff, grounds personnel and a team of domestic staff, and with this you will have 5 direct reports. You will be working on a full term contract, 37.5 hrs per week, Mon to Fri In return they are offering a good starting salary between £34 – 38k, during term time, free lunches, if on site, Company contribution pension scheme, life assurance, ongoing personal development, interest free trave loan after qualifying period, free use of gym and fitness suite during permitted times as well as a host of other benefits.
