About the Role:
An established and growing UK-based manufacturer of materials handling equipment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Company Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's financial operations and support its ambitious expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile the cashbook.
Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for authorization.
Perform credit control functions, including resolving outstanding queries.
Assist with purchasing and raising purchase orders.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Prepare month-end management accounts.
Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register.
Maintain and update product costing.
Plan and attend stock counts and valuations.
Submit quarterly VAT returns.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as reasonably expected.Candidate Profile:
AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience with a proven track record of at least 2 years in manufacturing.
Proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
