We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their dynamic Business Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to contribute to a supportive, flexible and forward-thinking work environment. The Role As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the business, supporting both the internal team and external clients. Your focus will be on providing strategic, sound financial advice while building strong, trusted relationships. You will bring a commercial mindset and a collaborative approach, helping to shape financial strategy and support business growth. You will line manage a team of three Finance Assistants, mentoring and developing them to reach their full potential. Alongside team leadership, you will support the Financial Controller and Finance & Commercial Director in overseeing day-to-day finance operations and driving continuous improvement across processes. Key responsibilities include: * Delivering proactive, client-focused financial support and insights * Managing and coaching Finance Assistants * Overseeing daily financial processes (sales ledger, purchase ledger, expenses, etc.) * Supporting monthly management accounts and year-end audit preparation * Championing finance's role in project management (from quotes to invoicing) * Identifying and implementing new finance initiatives and best practices * Ensuring compliance with VAT, PAYE/NI, and statutory reporting requirements What You’ll Bring * GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above) * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Experience with financial software (Sage Line 50 or similar) * Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities * A proactive, solutions-focused approach * Line management and mentoring experience * Knowledge of core accounting principles and statutory obligations A recognised accountancy qualification is desirable, but not essential.
