Vitae Financial Recruitment are exclusively partnering this highly successful circa £50M t/o division (with an exciting journey ahead) of a leading £2B t/o Plc who are seeking an outstanding Fully Qualified Finance Manager with circa 2 years plus PQE (post qualified experience) to join their dynamic team.
With ambitious plans already underway this is a pivotal role reporting directly to the Finance Director, responsible for leading a team of three finance staff and overseeing key financial processes. We are looking for an energetic and driven individual with a strong background in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a no.2 to the Finance Director supporting the delivery and implementation of structures, systems and reporting requirements to underpin new growth opportunities and ventures.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three finance professionals.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Conduct insightful variance and performance analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across finance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and financial discipline.
- Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors as required.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years PQE in a finance or management accounting role.
- Proven experience in monthly management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems
- A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Ideally exposure to business partnering or strategic financial planning
