Job Description
Job title: Financial Controller (VP level)
Location: Frankfurt Germany
Salary: €105k - €120k
We are partnered with a Global Bank who are looking for a Financial Controller join their Frankfurt Team to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of financial reporting. This role will focus on overseeing financial controls, month-end close, trial balance preparation, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the Financial Reporting Control framework in line with German regulatory and compliance standards.
Lead the month-end financial close process, including preparation of the Trial Balance.
Coordinate the drafting and completion of the annual report under German GAAP.
Contribute to projects aimed at improving financial processes, transparency, and reporting quality.
Prepare and deliver reporting packs for governance bodies, such as the Finance & Tax Committee and Management Board.
Understand and ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting requirements, including monitoring updates.
Coordinate internal and external audit preparations, providing well-documented financial data and analysis.
You will need:
Fluency in written and spoken German, with strong business communication skills.
Strong understanding of accounting principles under IFRS and German GAAP.
Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and a desire to develop further expertise.
Ability to manage projects and drive process improvements.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
Team player who thrives in an international and diverse environment.
