We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager. This role is focused on the installation of fire alarm systems within industrial and commercial settings, particularly in the food industry.
Job Description:
As a Fire Alarm Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of fire alarm projects from start to finish. You will manage the installation process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and working closely with a team of technicians. Your focus will be on industrial and commercial installations, particularly within the food industry where safety standards are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the installation of fire alarm systems across industrial and commercial sites, particularly within the food industry.
• Lead and coordinate the project team to ensure smooth operations, meeting deadlines, and adhering to quality standards.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and resource management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure all installations comply with BS 5839 and other relevant fire safety regulations.
• Provide on-site leadership, technical guidance, and troubleshooting as required.
• Conduct site surveys, assessments, and inspections to ensure all project specifications are met.
• Generate progress reports and documentation, including project updates and completion certificates.
• Maintain a strong focus on health and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in project management for fire alarm system installations, ideally within the industrial and commercial sectors.
• Experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of its unique fire safety requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, their installation processes, and associated regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams to meet deadlines.
• A technical background with the ability to read and interpret fire alarm system designs and drawings.
• Full understanding of BS 5839 (Fire Detection and Alarm Systems) and other relevant fire safety standards.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Fire Alarm Systems Design, Project Management Certification).
• A valid UK driving licence (preferred)
