Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Tech & DT Teacher to join a secondary school in Blackpool. This is a temporary position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
About the Role
We are looking for a Food Tech & DT Teacher to work within the Design and Technology department of a secondary school in Blackpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food Technology and Design Technology, including planning and delivering engaging lessons and supporting students' development.
Responsibilities:
Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons in Food Technology and Design Technology.
Supporting students' learning and development in Food Technology and Design Technology.
Observing and assessing students' progress.
Maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Working effectively as part of a team.
To be considered for this Food Tech & DT Teacher role you will need to:
Hold QTS Status or an equivalent Design and Technology qualification.
Have experience teaching Food Technology and Design Technology at the secondary level.
Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Design and Technology.
Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
