An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Swindon is seeking an Early Career Teacher of Food Technology to join its vibrant Design & Technology faculty from September 2025. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated ECT to gain their first teaching post in a school committed to practical learning, healthy living, and innovation.
The school has a well-resourced DT department, with dedicated food rooms and modern equipment that allow students to explore cooking and nutrition in creative, hands-on ways. What You Can Expect:

Your Role:

Teach Food Preparation and Nutrition to KS3 and KS4 students

Embed food sustainability and health education into your practice
*
Participate in the life of the department and wider school community
Candidate Profile:
*
A qualified or soon-to-be-qualified Food Tech or DT teacher with QTS
*
A passion for hands-on learning and student engagement
*
A clear understanding of the Food curriculum and assessment
*
A proactive team player committed to high standards and inclusive practice
*
Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
