Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and creative Food Technology Teacher to join an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Gloucester. This thriving institution places great emphasis on practical learning and is seeking a teacher who can inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in nutrition, health, and culinary skills.
The school boasts modern kitchens and resources designed to enhance students’ practical learning experiences. The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4, preparing students for qualifications in Food Preparation and Nutrition, and supporting their understanding of food science, sustainability, and wellbeing.
As part of a well-established Design Technology department, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver a broad, skills-based curriculum. You will have the opportunity to get involved in extracurricular clubs and activities, contribute to department development, and support learners of all abilities.
Applicants should hold QTS and have a relevant degree or experience in food and nutrition education. A genuine passion for teaching practical subjects and an enhanced DBS are essential.
