Food Technology Teacher – SEND School (Hounslow)Salary: MPS/UPS SEN Allowance Contract: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: September 2025 Location: Hounslow, West London School Type: Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) School About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and committed Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving SEND school in Hounslow. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and support young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs in a specialist, well-resourced environment. You will play a key role in delivering a differentiated and practical Food Technology curriculum that builds life skills, independence, and confidence in our learners aged 11–16. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, hands-on Food Technology lessons tailored to individual learning needs Foster creativity, safety, and independence in the kitchen Plan and assess using EHCP outcomes and SEND-specific frameworks Work closely with a team of dedicated teaching assistants Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with families and multi-agency professionals Person Specification Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) Experience or strong interest in teaching students with SEND Subject knowledge in Food Technology and practical skills in cooking and nutrition Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing teaching approach Excellent communication and teamwork skills Why Join Us?
