Temp Social Worker - Fostering & Adoption Team | Channel Islands
Location: Channel Islands
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35)
Contract: 3 Months (with potential for extension)

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced and committed Social Worker to join a specialist Fostering & Adoption Team based in the Channel Islands. This position is ideal for professionals seeking a short-term contract with excellent benefits in a unique and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in providing high-quality assessments, support services, and safeguarding for children in foster care, as well as working with prospective and approved adopters. The role includes both pre- and post-placement work, and focuses on ensuring the safety, welfare, and long-term care plans for vulnerable children.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience working with children and families in a statutory safeguarding setting
Proven experience with children in need (CIN), child protection (CP), and public/private law proceedings
Experience supporting children at risk of CSE, CSA, and those missing from home
Ability to manage competing demands and meet statutory timescales
Full UK driving licence
Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service)Before You Apply
