Full Time Behaviour Mentor - Fareham SEN School
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:45pm
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as available
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Do you have experience supporting young people with complex needs, including challenging behaviour and personal care? Are you passionate about making a positive difference in an SEN school setting?
We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a dedicated team at a specialist SEN Secondary School in Fareham. This full-time role involves supporting students with a range of additional needs, including behavioural challenges and personal care requirements.
The Role:
*
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and complex behaviours
*
Assisting with personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
*
Promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop emotional regulation skills
*
Supporting class teachers and working closely with the pastoral and SEN teams
*
Contributing to the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support strategies
Requirements:
*
Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour and personal care needs
*
A calm, nurturing and resilient approach
*
Full-time availability: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:45pm
*
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
*
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
