Gas Cylinder Technician
Location: Stansted
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: 39 hours per week (8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 4 pm finish on Friday)
Job Type: Permanent

Our client, a leading aviation company based in Stansted, is currently looking to recruit a Gas Cylinder Technician. They provide comprehensive training, career progression opportunities, and a strong team culture.
About the role
This role involves the repair, testing, and overhaul of valve and cylinder assemblies, including hydrostatic testing and high-pressure charging up to 4500 PSI.
Key responsibilities:
* Strip down and rebuild valve assemblies
* Inspect, clean, and replace defective components
* Conduct hydrostatic testing per Department of Transport regulations
* Charge completed assemblies up to 4500 PSI
* Support the safety inflatable team when required
What we're looking for
Experience:
* Proven background in gas cylinder fitting - at least 2 years experience
* MRO experience is highly desirable
* Ability to follow detailed compliance manuals (Essential)
* Experience in the Avionics industry
Qualifications:
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Enthusiastic, motivated, and quality-focused
