Job Description
We are seeking a high-performing General Manager to lead the transformation of an environmental (waste collection & processing for recycling) business in the East Midlands.
As General Manager you will have full P&L ownership and be responsible for profitable growth of the operation. In addition to managing the daily logistics and site operations you will provide the leadership to grow the business by providing excellent customer service through coaching, inspiring and supporting your team. You will implement a continuous improvement culture to drive profitable growth in line with the business strategy and have the experience of embracing new technology to improve efficiency and enhance sustainability.
We are seeking an exceptional leader who has a background in developing operational excellence strategies that deliver improvements in service, capacity and cost performance. Combined with this you will possess strong financial and commercial acumen enabling you to develop a strategy that positively impacts the P&L. Specific skills and experience will include:
* Current or previous expertise in waste management and recycling industry practices
* Proficiency in regulatory compliance and health & safety standards
* Strong leadership and organisational development skills
* Exceptional relationship management abilities
* Strategic financial management and cost control capabilities
* Commitment to sustainability and community engagement
