Key Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons to students of varying abilities.
Foster a love for Geography by creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' understanding and engagement.
Utilize a range of resources, including technology and real-world examples, to make lessons relevant and captivating.
Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement a dynamic Geography curriculum.
Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of Geography and incorporate them into teaching practices.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues, maintaining open lines of communication.
Requirements for the role of Geography Teacher:
Have Qualified Status Teacher (QTS) through a PGCE in Secondary Geography, B.Ed. with QTS or equivalent.
Experience teaching GCSE Geography within the last 2 years; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
Hold an enhanced child work force DBS registered with the online update service, or, willing to apply for a new on through GSL Education.
