Location: Southampton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-Term (with potential for a permanent position)
Salary: £160 - £245 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Opportunity:
Supply Desk is pleased to be working with an excellent secondary school in Southampton, known for its strong academic performance, supportive leadership, and inclusive ethos. The school is seeking a excellent Geography Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. The school will happily consider an ECT for this role or an experienced Geography teacher.

Your Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
Inspire students with a passion for Geography and global understanding
Assess and monitor student progress, tailoring your teaching to suit different abilities
Promote high standards of behaviour and academic performance
Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and school life
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher with UK QTS (or equivalent overseas qualification)
Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be committed to continuous professional development and student achievement
Hold an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)
