This is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a committed Humanities team. The successful candidate will have a passion for geography and be dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching that sparks curiosity about the world and empowers students to understand global issues. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Geography Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
Promote geographical literacy and an understanding of physical and human geography
Create a positive learning environment that motivates and challenges all students
Monitor and assess student progress, setting high expectations and offering constructive feedback
Contribute to the development and refinement of the geography curriculum and departmental resources
Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g., GCSE and A-Level)
Organise or support enrichment activities such as fieldwork, trips, and geography-related clubs
Engage with parents/carers and contribute to whole-school events and initiatives
Fulfil duties as a form tutor and support students’ personal, social, and academic development
Participate actively in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school improvement initiatives
Ideal Geography Teacher:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Geography or a related subject
Have experience teaching across at least Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for global issues, sustainability, and current events
Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Geography Teacher.
Be a team player with a proactive and positive attitude
