Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Geography Teacher to step into a subject lead role at a forward-thinking secondary school in the Kingshurst area. As the lead for the Geography department, you’ll combine excellent classroom teaching with departmental leadership, driving curriculum development and mentoring colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
*
Lead curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and the ongoing development of the department
*
Support colleagues through coaching and modelling best practice
*
Monitor and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes across the subject
*
Work closely with senior leaders to align geography teaching with the school’s strategic goals
Required Experience
*
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*
Proven experience teaching geography in UK secondary schools
*
Previous departmental or leadership responsibility is highly desirable
*
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum design
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and people management skills
