Job Description

Job Title: Goods In Inspector Location: Wimborne, England Join a respected aerospace company as a Goods In Quality Inspector! This permanent role based in Wimborne offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to be part of a fast-paced team, ensuring that all incoming products meet the highest standards of quality. If you're passionate about quality inspection and enjoy tackling new challenges, this is the role for you! Key Responsibilities: Perform Goods Inwards product quality checks, including verifying supporting paperwork (Purchase Order, etc.), in line with established business processes. Assess the conformance of parts and assemblies to engineering requirements, inspecting both partially and fully completed products. Conduct random patrol inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and internal processes. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any non-conforming products during the goods-in stage and work closely with production teams to address these issues. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues or delays. Review and update MRP and Visual FAIR systems, and support the completion of First Article Inspections (FAIs). Perform sample audits of Ship-to-Stock parts to ensure product integrity. Assist with the internal calibration program for measurement equipment. Ensure a safe working environment by working closely with management to meet health and safety regulations. Core Competencies: Strong background in Goods Inwards inspection or a similar quality control role. Familiar with various inspection techniques and the ability to select the right approach for each task. Excellent understanding of engineering drawings, including GD&T. Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to independently assess quality and make recommendations for improvements. Experience with non-conformance reporting and troubleshooting product issues. Clear communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams. High attention to detail and meticulous approach to inspections. A passion for maintaining high-quality standards and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience in quality assurance or goods inspection roles, ideally within aerospace or similar high-precision industries. Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100, AS9110, and AS9102 is a plus. Experience in the inspection of goods in, with a focus on identifying non-conformities and ensuring product quality at the initial stage. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement
