Graduate Teaching Assistant – September Start
Location: Newport (NP20)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
Pay: £420–£500 per week
Start Date: September 2025
Are you a recent Psychology, Education or Sociology graduate looking to gain classroom experience?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Newport. Ideal for those considering teaching or educational psychology careers, this role offers hands-on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in lessons and with classroom organisation
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra help
Encourage pupil engagement and confidence
Assist with literacy, numeracy, and behaviour management
Requirements:
Degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology or similar
Experience working with children (voluntary/personal/professional)
Strong communication, patience, and a proactive attitude
DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
EWC registration (or willingness to register)
