Job Description
This is an outstanding career opportunity with my client, a market leader providing green services to private and public sector businesses.
We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on the Surrey Schools contract.
This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week, based at our depot in Guildford.
The Opportunity
Assisting the Contract Manager in the effective management of the programmed maintenance
Motivation and guidance of the Service Delivery Team
Monitoring staff timekeeping, holidays, and sickness
Proactively leading by example, especially in health and safety matters
Maintenance and enforcement of security for vehicles, plant, and equipment
Promoting high standards of quality and customer care
Maintaining workforce discipline
Completing daily check sheets and paperwork to support smooth operationsThe Person
Ideal candidates will be well-organised with proven experience leading staff and small teams. Strong leadership skills, enthusiasm, and effective communication are essential.
A horticultural qualification and familiarity with IT systems-particularly Google Workspace and field management tools-are advantageous.
You should have a solid operational background in public open space maintenance and a team-focused approach to delivering high-quality services.
A flexible working style and the ability to oversee multiple services and teams is key, along with a full, clean driving licence.
