Job Description

We are currently seeking a Groundworker who specialises in foundations to join our team on a range of residential and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, setting out, and building high-quality foundations that meet structural requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Excavating and preparing trenches for various types of foundations (strip, trench fill, raft, pile caps) Laying concrete footings and slabs to precise measurements and levels Installing reinforcement steel and formwork where required Reading and interpreting site drawings, levels, and technical plans Operating tools and machinery, including compactors, breakers, and concrete mixers Ensuring proper compaction and ground preparation for stable foundations Requirements: References from previous employers Valid CSCS card (essential) Experience with concrete pouring, setting out, and formwork techniques
