PARTS MANAGER Great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Parts Manager to take on a role as Regional Parts Manager or Group Parts Manager. Location of the Group Parts Manager / Regional Parts Manager: West Midlands, ideally near the Dudley area but not essential as long as in the West Midlands location. Salary of the Commercial Vehicle Regional Parts Manager / Group Parts Manager: £55,000.00 basic salary plus Bonus (OTE £70,000.00) My client, a well established Commercial Vehicle Dealership and Repairer are looking for an experienced Group Parts Manager for their company. They are looking for a Parts Manager who has Commercial Vehicle Parts experience as well as main dealer. This role will require you to manage the Parts sites at all locations as well as Business Development. As Group Parts Manager you will be integral to the continued success of the After Sales Service Department. You will proactively ensure efficient operation of groups parts delivery, inventory, procurement and distribution for all sites in the group, contributing to business strategy and our customers overall experience. Procurement and Parts Sales: ·To maximise departmental profitability through effective marketing campaigns and sale of parts to customers. ·Work to achieve agreed business plan and budget – controlling costs ·Ensure compliance with business standards and processes, financial, legal and ethical guidelines (including Warranty) ·Ensure that the Parts Department achieves target objectives by on-going (period by period) examination of accounts, daily & weekly operating controls, system information, industry reports and public domain information, and manufacturer’s composite figures (monthly). ·Continually review market trends to ensure parts sales are aligned to demand and price and negotiate accordingly. ·Build and strengthen new and existing relationships through meeting customers, and suppliers to development objectives and proposals to generate new business growth. Inventory management: ·You will be maintaining optimal stock levels, tracking usage, and preventing shortages to ensure maximisation of parts availability for retail and internal customers, and minimise overage stock and obsolescence. ·To support service operations to ensure a smooth flow of paperwork and developing efficiency in administrative operations. ·You will conduct regular stock audits, track parts movements and organise parts activities to ensure the department’s efficient and profitable operation by satisfying customers (internal and external) enhancing customer relations. ·Managing effective parts availability and distribution to ensure technicians and workshop locations have the necessary parts for repair and maintenance. ·Ensuring Compliance & Safety – storage and handling of parts comply with safety and environmental regulations. Budget & Cost Control: ·To maximise departmental profitability through the effective marketing and sale of parts; both direct to customers and via internal channels ·Handling defective parts, warranty claims and returns with suppliers. Team Leadership & Training ·Lead, mentor and motivate the Parts Team to achieve business KPI's and goals through objectives and collaborative working. ·Establish and maintain Parts Department Skills Gap Analysis to provide satisfactory levels of knowledge, skill, job satisfaction and cost-effective development of key parts personnel. What you will need as the Group Parts Manager / Regional Parts Manager: ·Technical skills, knowledge and experience of the retail / dealership motor industry. ·Parts Management in a Commercial Vehicle Environment with experience of managing over 10 Parts Staff and Supervisors / Managers. ·Skills in applying and using knowledge in a management position. ·Ability to organise clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resources. ·Team management and leadership skills and the ability to mentor ·Business development of Parts ·Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle design, manufacture, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and trade practices. ·Extensive knowledge of Parts stock management, computer systems, asset management, and administrative control processes.
