Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to oversee all safety aspects of a significant infrastructure project located on the outskirts of Bristol. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety of all personnel on-site and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices.
Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and compliance activities.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all legal obligations are met.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the site.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in using health and safety management systems and reporting tools.
