Healthcare Assistant – GP Surgery – Bradford
Salary: £13.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience and skills – up to £15/hour)
Hours: Full Time
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
An established GP practice in Bradford is seeking a dedicated and proactive Healthcare Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time position within a busy surgery of 8,600 patients. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Conducting ECGs, blood pressures, phlebotomy (blood tests), urine testing, and NHS Health Checks
*
Supporting weekly care home visits (within walking distance)
*
Assisting with foot checks (training can be provided)
*
Working closely with the nursing and clinical team
*
Maintaining accurate clinical records using SystmOne
Requirements:
*
Previous experience in a GP surgery or primary care setting
*
Confident performing essential HCA duties
*
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
*
Familiarity with SystmOne is highly desirable
The Practice Offers:

Supportive team environment: 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA, 2 ANPs, 4 GPs

Flexible start and finish times (surgery open 8am–6pm)

On-site parking

Future opportunities for Practice Nurse training support

CQC rating “Good” (October 2022)

Not currently a training practice, but plans to expand in the future
