Job Description
Our client in Cowley is looking for a HGV Class 1 driver. This is full time position on a night shift, mainly trunking driving, but might be multi drop. This will be 5 x shifts per week.
The role will be starting immediately.
Duties:
* Driving HGV1 vehicle as required to cover deliveries or trunking. (Deliveries up to 5-6 max per shift)
* Liaising with the Transport office team during your shift regarding jobs requiring completing.
* All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use
* Driving in a safe, responsible manner on behalf of the client you are representing
* Follow driver working time directive at all times.
Requirements:
* Hold HGV1 driving licence
* Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
* Be prepared to wait for your job, shunt or delivery. (Paid throughout)
* Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Good Knowledge of working time directive
* Maximum of 6 points on your licence
* Good communication skills
Pay:
* £17.27-£21.27 per hour
Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* start at 3pm - usually 8-10h shift
