Overview
M4 are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 Drivers to join oa busy transport operation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a passion for delivering goods to our valued customers.
Duties
* Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
* Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Requirements
* Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
* Experience as a delivery driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
