Job Description
Are you an HGV Class 1 (CE) driver looking for a rewarding opportunity with great pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career prospects? Join our professional, safety-focused team delivering to stores across London and the South of England. There is also the opportunity to transition from a temporary role to a permanent position within just 3–6 months.
The Role:
As an HGV Class 1 driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely deliver cages of stock and totes to retail stores, using roll cages and navigating different environments while working under time pressures. You will be working closely with a Driver’s Mate to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work 4 to 5 days per week on regular 10–12-hour shifts, with start times between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM. (Paid breaks are included.)
Pay Rates:
We offer fantastic pay with additional earnings for premium shifts:
* £20.56 per hour – Day shifts
* £22.22 per hour – Night shifts
* £23.88 per hour – Saturdays and Overtime (after 10 hours)
* £25.00 per hour – Sundays & Bank Holidays
What You Need:
* A valid HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence
* Digital Tachograph & CPC Card
* Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles
* A maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence (SP & TS offences only)
* Sound knowledge of Drivers’ Hours & Working Time Directive regulations
You will be required to complete an assessment to evaluate your vehicle knowledge, competency, and driving skills across all road types, including motorways, urban areas, and rural routes.
