Job Description
HGV Class 1 Night Drivers
Location – Newport NP19
Salary - Nights £16.00 - £20.00 PER HOUR
Shift pattern, Monday - Friday
Must be able to work weekends so you could work 5 nights a week.
We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular work on an ongoing basis, night shifts.
The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, barrier work ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.
Key tasks:
* Working on motorways on barriers
* Nights 17.00 start times
* Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
* Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment
* Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
* Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries
Requirements:
* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
* Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
* Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers
* Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication and customer service skills
