Job Description
Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client, delivering plant machinery to and from customer sites across the Hampshire and South Coast area.
About the Role:
Position: 12-week temp-to-perm
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and collect plant machinery to/from customer sites
Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring equipment is safely secured
Perform daily vehicle checks to maintain high safety standards
What We're Looking for:
A Full UK Class 2 Driving licence
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards
Licence held for a minimum of 1 year
Experience with safely loading, unloading, and securing mobile plant machinery
Strong strapping and chaining skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Ability to maintain the vehicle to a high standard and perform regular checks to ensure roadworthiness
