Job Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Newtown area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday (Ocassional Saturday available)
Start time either 7am or 8am (12 hour shifts max)
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour PAYE
Location: Newtown (SY16)
Job Type: Ongoing with the potential of perm for the right candidate
*please note that an interview & induction will be required for this role*
The role:
· Safely distributing palletised parcels to commercial properties and businesses (some home deliveries and customer deliveries or collections)
. No handballing required as home deliveries will have tail lift/pump truck and customer deliveries/collections are done with forklift.
· Emphasising safe driving practices and ensuring precise documentation.
· Typically completing up to 8 deliveries/collections
· Engaging with customers while upholding a professional and polite image on behalf of the company.
Requirements:
. New passes welcome to apply as training can be provided.
· Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
