Key Responsibilities:
Daily Vehicle Inspections:
* Conduct thorough daily vehicle examinations to ensure your HGV Class 2 vehicle remains in a safe and roadworthy condition.
* Promptly report any defects or issues to your supervisor to guarantee timely repairs and maintenance, ensuring seamless operations.
Route Planning:
* Plan your routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries, maximising productivity while adhering to schedules.
* Utilise GPS technology and other navigation tools to avoid traffic and optimise route efficiency, ensuring prompt and reliable service.
Pallet Deliveries Across the UK:
* Perform a high volume of pallet deliveries across various locations in the UK, ensuring that goods are delivered punctually and in perfect condition.
* Handle a variety of goods, ensuring they are securely fastened and protected during transportation to prevent any damage.
Loading and Unloading:
* Safely load and unload goods at various delivery points, ensuring items are palletised and protected during transit.
* Use appropriate equipment for loading and unloading, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks, to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
Check-In/Check-Out System:
* Utilise the company’s check-in/check-out system for effective tracking and documentation of deliveries and returns.
* Ensure all items scanned are accurate to avoid discrepancies and maintain smooth operations.
Documentation:
* Complete all required paperwork accurately, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected, signed, and filed correctly upon delivery or collection.
* Maintain records of delivery notes, invoices, and any customer feedback for future reference.
Customer Service:
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with store personnel, addressing and resolving any queries or issues professionally and promptly.
* Build positive relationships with customers to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance:
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including safe handling and transportation of goods.
* Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements:
* Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
* Minimum of 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience.
* Valid UK CPC and UK Digi Tacho cards.
* Comfortable working morning shifts starting at 06:30 am.
* Good level of written and spoken English.
* Excellent knowledge of EU driving laws and regulations.
* Ability to work alone and make decisions independently.
* Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
