HGV Mechanic
Location: Exeter
Pay Rate: £52,000 - £70,000 pa
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0730am – 1730pm
gap personnel are working with a well-established and respected commercial vehicle maintenance provider, known for delivering expert services to the haulage and commercial sectors. Due to growth, they are looking for a dedicated HGV Mechanic to join the team on a permanent basis in Exeter.

Your Role Will Involve:
Diagnosing and repairing faults on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Performing inspections, routine servicing, and MOT preparation
Engine and gearbox overhauls as required
Ensuring all compliance and service paperwork is completed accurately
Contributing to a safe, efficient, and friendly workshop environment
What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Proven experience working with HGVs or in a commercial vehicle environment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently on night shifts
A positive, team-focused approach and pride in quality workmanship
CAT C HGV Licence
Own tools beneficial
