We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our Reading-based team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician seeking career development within a reputable main dealer environment. You will play a key role in maintaining HGVs to the highest standards of safety and reliability, delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities of a HGV Mechanic:
Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs to manufacturer standards
Carry out diagnostics and fault finding using industry-standard tools
Complete all work within agreed timeframes and meet required quality standards
Follow warranty procedures and maintain accurate repair records
Work collaboratively with the parts team to ensure timely and correct parts replacement
Requirements of a HGV Mechanic:
Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician in a workshop or dealership (preferred)
Level 3 technical qualification in HGV maintenance and repair
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full UK Class 1 or 2 HGV Driving Licence (desirable)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
