Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Straight Days
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in Bournemouth. This is a permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary and a stable Monday-to-Friday, straight-day shift schedule. The successful candidate will have proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, with either a time-served apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in accordance with manufacturer standards.
Conduct inspections, safety checks, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Accurately complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless workflow and high service quality.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols and workshop standards.Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role is essential.
Qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Skills: Proficient in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, with a good understanding of HGV systems and components.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards in all work performed and to complete accurate records.
License (Desirable): An HGV license is preferred but not essential.What We Offer:
