HGV Technician
Location: Leicester
Hours: Weekly Rotational Shifts: Shift A: 6:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday & Shift B: 12:30pm – 10:00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £20ph
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client’s busy workshop in Leicester.
Our client specialises in maintaining and servicing fleet vehicles, including transits, sprinters, and a range of other light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a variety of trucks and vans. This role requires in-depth knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to work with diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.

Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniquesHGV Technician Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher
At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
