Job Description
Our client s seeking a dedicated Highway Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role, based within a Council, involves maintaining the city's highway infrastructure to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting both walked and driven inspections in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 and other relevant legislation
Identifying and reporting highway defects
Managing emergency situations effectively
Collaborating with utility companies, contractors, and the public
Ensuring all work meets the Council's stringent standards
Job Requirements:
City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in highway safety inspections
Valid UK driving licence
Strong understanding of safety protocols
Excellent communication skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
