A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bristol is looking to appoint a HLTA, Instructor or Qualified Teacher (PGCE)to work 1:1 with a Year 7 pupilwho has an EHCP outlining specific support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
Provide consistent, structured 1:1 support throughout the school day
Help the pupil access learning and achieve the outcomes set out in their EHCP
Work closely with the school’s SENDCO and SEND Manager to deliver tailored interventions and strategies
Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, social interaction, and well-being
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A HLTA qualification, PGCE, or equivalent teaching/instructional experience
Experience working with pupils with ASD and SEMH needs
A calm, nurturing and flexible approach to supporting learning
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Start Date & Duration:
The role is due to start in four weeks’ time
It will run for this academic year and the next academic year
There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate
