KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.
Job Title: Horticulture Tutor / Trainer (trainee or qualified)
Location: South Wales, with bi-monthly travel to Cambridgeshire (hotel, mileage and food covered)
Type: 4 days per week, Permanent (Monday – Thursday)
Salary: £25,000 (take home pay)
Essential Criteria:
Ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification OR an Assessors Award – if you do not hold either, you must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of internal training within your role and be willing to work towards a Teaching/Training qualifications provided by our client.
Must hold a minimum of NVQ level 2 (or equiv/higher) in Horticulture.
Experience of delivering training in a workshop / group-based setting - or providing on-the-job training within the workplace.
Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.Duties:
Teach/assess learners in a classroom based setting, who are working towards a vocational qualification within Horticulture.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
