Humanities Teacher (History & Geography) – KS3/4 Focus – Lambeth Opportunity! The successful candidate will primarily teach History and Geography. * Job Title: Humanities Teacher (Specializing in History and Geography) * Location: Lambeth (Specific school details will be provided to shortlisted candidates only) * Department: Humanities * Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 (Years 7-11) * Contract Type: Full-time, permanent What We're Looking For: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of both History and Geography and a commitment to providing high-quality education at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will be: * A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). * Experienced in teaching both History and Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Stage 5 experience is NOT required for this role. * Passionate about History and Geography and able to inspire students of all abilities. * An inspiring Humanities Teacher. * An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. * Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning in both History and Geography. * A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community. * Dedicated to their own professional development. * The perfect Humanities Teacher Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging History and Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. * Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. * Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. * Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, enquiry, and a deep understanding of both subjects. * Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school. * Contribute to the development of the History and Geography curricula at KS3 and KS4. * Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress. * Ensure all pupils feel safe. * The appointed Humanities Teacher is expected to take ownership What We Offer: * A supportive and collaborative working environment within a thriving Humanities department. * A commitment to your professional development, with opportunities for training and advancement. * A competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
