Job Description
Role: Hygiene Manager
Location: Spalding
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Hours: 16:00 – 00:30 (Flexibility Required)
Days: Monday – Friday
Total Search Partners are retained on a Hygiene Manager role, for a food manufacturing business based in Spalding (Lincolnshire). This is a newly created role, reporting into the Head of Technical, due to the restructuring of the Hygiene team. Due to the nature of the role, only candidates with previous Food Manufacturing experience will be considered.
Besides the traditional day-to-day duties of a Hygiene Manager, this role will be focussed on:
* Review of current hygiene people structure
* Budget management and PIP projects
* Implementation of dayshift interim cleans project (allergen clean validations)
The Role
* Overall responsibility for site hygiene strategy
* Site hygiene expert
* Deliver food safety & H&S compliance
* Implement & maintain hygiene systems
* Lead hygiene focused customer audits
* Determines hygiene KPI’s & ensure they are delivered
* Define hygiene schedules
* To define hygiene labour resource
* Liaise with the Procurement team in managing the laundry contract
* Active member of operational and technical team, advising site on best hygiene practices
* To have a flexible working approach to all aspects of the role that applies to this position.
Person Specification:
* Chilled Food Manufacturing experience
* Be proactive in looking for solutions to improve any working area.
* Good problem solver.
* Ability and willingness to make decisions and act on conclusions reached.
Skills Required:
* Advanced food hygiene qualification
* Experienced hygiene manager with proven track record
* Experience of complex factory environments
* Has experience of other related functions e.g. operations, technical
* COSHH Qualification
* Listeria training
* Management Qualification
* NEBOSH Certificate
* HACCP level 3 certificate
* Internal auditing Certificate
