Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
Conduct risk assessments and safety planning with clients.
Assist clients in accessing appropriate services, including legal, housing, and health services.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Deliver training and awareness sessions on domestic violence and abuse to various groups.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
IDVA or IDSA qualification (desirable) - Increase in wage is available if qualified.
Experience working with vulnerable women, particularly in the context of domestic violence.
Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on women and families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Empathy, resilience, and a non-judgemental attitude towards clients.
