INSTRUCTOR IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (Machining & CNC Setting) Full-time       37 hours per week Location:      Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology (IoT) in Stafford Salary:          £34,310 Salary:          Total Overall package of up to £43,161 as follows:                       Salary - £24,353 - £34,310                       Employer Pension Contributions - £6,283 - £8,851 Holiday:        40 Days per year, rising to 45 days following 5 years’ service                       (Inclusive of Bank hol and Christmas closure) Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the very best colleges in the country.  In October 2024 we became the first and only further education provider in England to achieve a full set of outstanding grades in consecutive Ofsted Inspections. The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers.  Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence. The College delivers a significant volume and market share of apprenticeship standards ranging from Intermediate and Advanced through to Higher levels from its two campuses in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford. The successful applicant will be based at the new £22.5m Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology in Stafford with excellent facilities and equipment to include an Advanced Manufacturing Learning Factory and Innovation Space that has been design in consultation with local employers. We are looking for suitably experienced individuals to join our pro-active, dynamic and friendly team.  The successful candidate will be required to: Plan and deliver lively and interactive instruction and assessment activities to a high standard on a range of programmes. Although activities are ordinarily delivered in the workshop environment, there will be some associated classroom delivery. Support with the creation of an Innovation Space in the new IoT designed to support local businesses with innovation, product design and prototyping. Deliver an inspirational programme that develops students’ skills and knowledge in the latest engineering and manufacturing technologies.Required Skills and Experience: Has relevant industry/professional experience within the relevant sector. Has relevant experience in CAD/CAM, CNC Machining, 3D Printing and Pneumatics. Has willingness to learn new technologies. Has good organisational skills. Has drive and enthusiasm combined with excellent communication skills What’s in it for you?
