Technical Internal Sales Engineer

40k – 50k Depending on Experience
A well-established certification and testing facility based in Wrexham is looking for a Technical Internal Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This organisation plays a vital role in helping manufacturers ensure that their products meet international safety standards for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. As part of a larger global group, they specialise in ATEX, IECEx, and similar hazardous area certifications, supporting clients from initial enquiry through to project completion.
This role will place you at the heart of the commercial process—handling incoming enquiries, providing technical support, and helping guide clients through complex compliance solutions. If you have a background in engineering or technical sales and an understanding of ATEX or related safety standards, this could be a great opportunity for you.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to all inbound sales calls, emails, and enquiries.
* Understand client needs and provide initial technical guidance on ATEX and related compliance requirements.
* Prepare accurate proposals and quotations with input from the technical team.
* Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure client expectations are met.
* Update and maintain CRM systems and support reporting for the sales pipeline.
* Act as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth project handover.
What We’re Looking For:
* Technical or engineering background (electrical or mechanical preferred).
* Experience in sales support, technical sales, or internal sales role.
* Familiarity with ATEX, IECEx, or similar compliance/certification standards is a strong advantage.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
* Organised and capable of managing multiple enquiries simultaneously.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
