Intervention Teacher - Nurture Teacher - Mental Health - Dorking Company: Academics - Intervention Teacher - Nurture Teacher - Education and Training Job Type: Permanent - £150-£220 per day Sector: Education and Training The School: Intervention Teacher - Nurture Teacher - Dorking The school is based in Dorking and provides support for children aged 9-16 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs due to social, emotional and mental health challenges. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The pupils at the school can struggle to form string, healthy relationships and can present high levels of anxiety and challenging behaviour. What is involved: Intervention Teacher - Nurture Teacher - Dorking Delivering the primary curriculum as intervention lessons for KS3/4 aged pupils, bridging gaps in learning, building confidence and self esteem Delivering a range of subjects including maths and English Managing children's behaviour during the school day and supporting their learning and participation in class Encouraging the development of social skills and supporting students' individual needs Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team Supporting regulations pertaining to safeguardingWhat is required: Intervention Teacher - Nurture Teacher - Dorking Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training Experience of working in a special school environment and in particular with pupils with ASC and SEND Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs Further qualifications in SEND desirable Working knowledge of ASC/SEMH students with complex needs Evidence of sound knowledge of the national curriculumSummary: Education and Training £150-£220 per day: 8.30am-4.00pm Special needs school - Mental Health - Trauma - challenging behaviour Full time and part time roles, flexible working hours and short and long term contracts May 25 or later in the year depending on your availability Apply via this advert or call Ben Mason on (phone number removed) for more details
